Description: 1884 Indian Head Cent EFVery Nice Coin Minted for over 50 years, Indian Head cents are widely considered the most beautiful copper coins in American history. Introduced shortly before the War between the States in 1859, they were struck by the U.S. Mint until 1909. Designed by James Longacre, these historic cents were the nation's first coinage tribute to the noble, proud American Indian. His Longacre design also represented the first time that official United States Mint coins featured a distinctly American motif. The standard weight of this coin was 48 grains. Please note the reason that some of the pictures show the coin darker than the other pictures is because of the background color. The darker color shows the coin laying on a black photo card, while the lighter color shows the coin laying on a neutral gray photo card. For lighting, I use an OTT-Lite True Color fluorescent with two Ulanzi CRI 95 LED fill lights. The actual in hand color of the coin is somewhere in between the two. All orders sent with tracking.
