Description: Excellent condition 1882 Martin 2 1/2-17. An absolute time capsule, and it plays beautifully. Nice and flat radius. Brazilian rosewood back and sides, spruce top, ebony fretboard. C.F. Martin New York stamped. The resonance and super balanced tone across the entire fretboard of this guitar is easily one of my favorite among parlor sized Martins I've played. The famous "Mark Twain guitar". Some finish scuffs can be found on the top and back as pictured, but nothing to not be expected of a 142 year old guitar. Tuners work great. Feel free to message for more pictures and/or video demos. Comes with modern case and original coffin case as pictured (missing the original liner). Kept in a smoke free, pet free studio for recording purposes. Willing to ship or drive a reasonable distance.
