Description: Der Bazar was a fashion magazine which was published in Berlin, German Empire from 1854 to 1933. It was the predecessor of American publication Harper's Bazaar. This is a 11.5 x 16 inch large folio hardcover bound volume which includes hundreds of articles and illustrations between 1881 and 1883 and weighs nearly 9 lbs before packing!!!. It appears that the advertisements have been deleted before binding as each edition skips about 10 page numbers and there is no advertising that I see. . Appears in decent condition with binding just starting to separate as pictured. Hardcover has leather trim which shows much wear.
