Description: 1873 Victorian Art Engraving, Covered Wagon & Team Lakeside The Rocky Mountains [ALD.1873.p174]TITLE: In The Rocky Mountains - A. F. BunnerPAGE SIZE: Approx 11 ¼" wide x 15 7/8" highIMAGE SIZE (with title): Approx 9" wide x 9½" highPROVENANCE: 1873 The Aldine, Art Journal of America, New YorkTYPE: EngravingADDITIONAL HISTORY:CONDITION: Very Good. This item is a printed etching on satin heavy stock for a bound magazine and may have images or print on the reverse which occasionally show thru to the front, depending on mounting method. The image shown is the print that is offered for sale. Please note that in some photos from my camera, image distortion shows as line distortion or little bits of a golden tan color, neither of which are on the actual piece, so I have included additional, closer photos to help clarify. A photo is provided of the reverse side when there is print there. If there is a cover slip page it also will be shown. The Aldine was published monthly. This page was carefully removed from a bound edition that was too flawed to sell whole. Please note any other blemishes in the photos prior to purchasing this picture. Virtually all antiquarian/vintage maps and prints are subject to some normal ageing due to use and time, which is not obtrusive unless otherwise stated. Ageing usually takes the form of darkening of the paper, known as toning, and might be throughout or only on the edges. This piece is nicely toned around the edges. Other age-related discrepancies may include minor creases, and small tears on the edges (which will be covered by the mat should you choose to frame it), slightly rounded corners of the page, indented or uncentered margins. This print has ample margins, the gutter is intact showing the original holes from sewn binding. Most antique prints are brittle, so handle them with care. AUTHENTICITY: This is an authentic historic print, published on the date stated above. I do not offer reproductions. It is not a modern copy. The term 'original' when applied to a print means that it was printed at the first or original date of publication; it does not imply that the item is a one-of-a-kind. 'Print' means any image created by applying an inked block to paper or card under pressure by any method including wood engraving, steel engraving, copperplate, wood cut and lithography. [If this item is a wood block engraving and if you look closely you often can see where the blocks met. In some instances you can see where the engraver attempted to merge the blocks.] RETURN POLICY: I have a no-questions-asked return policy. All I ask is that you pay return shipping and mail it back to me in original condition, suitably packed & insured, within 30 days of receipt. All pieces are shipped in archival quality acid-free slipcovers with buffered backboard and mailed in flat cardboard mailers. Prints vary in weight. Shipping is via USPS Ground Advantage unless otherwise noted. I am happy to combine shipping to save both of us some money. I ship within 1 day of confirmed payment. Please Contact Me Please contact me if you have any problems with your purchase no matter how small after its receipt because I will want to make it right as soon as possible. This paper product comes from a smoke-free, fragrance-free, & pet-free environment. THANK YOU FOR VISITING!
