Description: This antique atlas map from 1870 features north west America showing the territory, ceded by Russia to the United States. At the time of this transfer of property, it was known as Sewards icebox. This primarily included what we know as Alaska. The map was created by cartographer/publisher Michell and is in its original format. The map measures 15" x 12" and is in excellent condition, with no tears or stains. It would make a great addition to any collection of antique maps and atlases.
