You are bidding on a rare antiquarian set of hardcover books titled: ACTA ET DECRETA SACRORUM CONCILIORUM RECENTIORUM. COLLECTIO LACENSIS. AUCTORIBUS PRESBYTERIS S. J. E DOMO B.V.M. SINE LABE CONCEPTAE AD LACUM The books are in Latin. I don't read Latin but the title roughly tranlated is Acts and Decrees of the Sacred Council of Modern Times. The books are from 1870 and 1876 and appear to be the First Editions as the date of 1870 and 1876 appears on the title page and the copyright page. I leave it up to the reader of Latin to take a look at the title page and translate the rest of the info. The book are large in size. They are approximately 12" tall and 10" wide. The binding shows some corner/edge wear but remains in good condition. The covers are firmly attached with no cracking or splitting of hinges. All pages are tightly bound. There is a stain at the top of a portion of pages in the 1870 volume, but it is not near any of the text and does not affect the readability. There is a pocket on the inside of the rear covers indicating that these books once belonged to Mt. St. Alphonsus Library. The books remain in good condition. This is a set of scholarly works on religion for the collector or the reader of Latin. Would make a good addition to a collection. Great gift idea!
