This is a great piece and would look nice in any home or office. The engraving of Abraham Lincoln seated in an elegant chair by a curtain in the executive Mansion. The paper under his right hand on his desk is the Emancipation Proclamation. By 1864, Lincoln's action of writing and signing the Emancipation Proclamation were seen as the crowning achievement of his presidency. Steel engraving has no rips or tears but please make note there is foxing and some dried water staining on the left margin. The signature is a facsimile taken from an example of his true handwriting. The frame is a modern chrome metal frame. The piece measures 16" x 13" including the frame and 10.75" x 8" plus full margins.
