1860s Black Wool Bodice with Cording French Antique Clothing French Workwear Wo

Description: Hello and Welcome to the Textile Trunk! Please follow us on Instagram, we are @textiletrunk ~**~ Such a unique bodice! This piece dates to the 1860s and it is a black wool. The star feature on this piece is the cording work done on the front and sleeves of the bodice. It is cording work with what seems to be small pieces of lace netting in the spaces. The bodice is lined in cotton. This piece has some wear (see condition details), but it could be worn, used for design inspiration, or used as decor! Truly an amazing find! MEASUREMENTS : Length: 18 inches long Chest: 28 inches Waist: 24 inches Shoulders across the back: 11 inches Sleeves: 22 inches long from shoulder seam to cuff ~*~ CONDITION : This bodice is in as found, not freshly laundered condition. As seen in the photographs, this bodice has some damage. The right side seam has some tearing and holes where the lining is visible. There are some under the left underarm as well.
