Description: Up for sale is this rare antique 1860 slavery pamphlet, "The Present Crisis, with a Reply and Appeal to European Advisers from the Sixth Edition of Slavery and the Remedy." The pamphlet is soft cover in its original wrappers. The front cover has a long vertical tear about 4 inches in length near the top of the spine and the last page has a tear about 3 inches in length near the bottom of the spine fold. There is a small Brookline library stamp to the front cover and a period inscription in fountain pen. Besides that, the interior is generally clean with the very occasional page with a grubby mark or minor stain. In addition there may be the very occasional page with some kind of minor imperfection such as a minor spot of foxing, tiny tear or chip, etc. Generally though, it's a good copy. All in all a rather rare title and an important piece of American history. Please look at the photos to further note the condition and message me with any questions you might have. Thanks!
