The font has an early No. 2 early fine line brass collar, and is ribbed embossed patterned on a squat form body. Approximately 3" tall, approximately 4" across the body. Center peg in the base is approximately 3/4" deep and 3/4" wide. Undamaged with no chips cracks or breaks, normal and customary bubbles and strawmarks in the early heavy glass. Manufactured for used on cast iron bracket arm or hanging lamp. Rarely seen form early period peg font for the Victorian lamp enthusiast.
