Description: This is an original document on vellum for a land deed from 1859. There are folds in the document, but it has been framed to preserve the integrity of the piece. There is one vertical fold along the middle and two horizontal folds across the body of the document. There is light fading, but it is still readable. It is a granting of land to certain officers and soldiers who were engaged in the Military Service of the United states.
