He is best remembered for his book Extraordinary Popular Delusions and the Madness of Crowds. CONDITION In a full morocco binding with gilt stamping to the board edges and spine. Externally, generally smart with slight rubbing to the joints and to the head and tail of spine. Small patches of rubbing to the extremities. Front joint is starting but firm. Some damp staining to endpapers and to the first few pages at the bottom margin, not affecting text. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright with some damp staining to the top of the first 200 pages, not affecting text. Scattered spotting throughout.
