Among the other engravings are a view of the Manchester warehouse of the Samuel & James Watts drapery business; Canterbury Music Hall, Upper Marsh, Lambeth; and the North Sea, where a steamer is forcing her passage through the ice to Cronstadt. There are portraits of Sir Edward Bulwer Lytton; the Prince of Leiningen; Thomas Assheton Smith, Esq.; and performers in a scene from "A Midsummer Night's Dream." An illustration of Paris fashions for December, includes a captivating image of a child playing with a toy balloon, a recent invention for the amusement of children. This issue measures 16" x 11" and has 16 pages. It has a decorative masthead and is identified as No. 833, Vol. XXIX. This is an original, authentic issue of The Illustrated London News, not a reproduction or modern reprint, and it is fully guaranteed to be genuine. Condition: It is in very good condition, bright and clean, with no rips, tears, or writing. It had previously been part of a bound volume, and there are a few bits of glue and paper residue along the left edge. It had also been accompanied by a supplement which is not present.
