Description: Lake Erie Maps & PrintAn Authentic Antique Map: Not a Modern Reproduction! No Additional Fees for Multiple Items Shipped with the LargestFree US Shipping on 5 or More Maps and PrintsDescription: It is an authentic antique map approximately 170 years old with original handcoloring, blank on reverse with a centerfold as issued. It is by Joseph Colton as stated in the copyright in the bottom margin: "Enter according to act of Congress in the year 1855, by J.H. Colton & Co. . ." It is a smaller version of the maps that commonly appeared in Colton's larger format atlases and later in Johnson's Family Atlas, after Colton sold the company to Johnson around 1860. This particular map is from a complete set of six, which we are currently listing, that we came upon loose, probably from a smaller geography, dictionary, etc. Overall the map does have a good impression with bright original color and an antique appearance, as well as a small size that would be economical to frame. We are selling the map as a single loose sheet that is not mounted, matted nor framed as seen in the first pic. Size: The entire page measures approximately 7 1/2 by 8 3/4 inches (19x22cm) Condition: It is in Good to Very Good condition for its age with tonal aging and some darkening around the edges. It is blank on reverse with a centerfold as issued and original hand coloring, see the pics of the actual print.Save on Shipping: We only charge one shipping fee based on the largest map or print with multiple items shipped along with it for no extra costs.
