Description: For sale is a mid 19th century watercolor on paper laid down on card painting attributed to William Frederick Witherington(1785-1865) of the United Kingdom. This painting came from the estate of Walter and Vera Eberstadt. It was purchased from Alice Dodge of London and New York. It features what looks like a quaint landscape with an English Village in the distance. You can see the center of town with the church spire standing tall into the luminous sky. The painting is in overall good condition with only some light foxing beginning to show in the bottom areas. It is not signed inside of the margins but we have not taken it out of the frame for examination. We did open the dust jacket to see if there was any additional information on the back. It measures: Frame - 19 1/2" x 16" Sight - 13" x 9" Not examined out of the frame
