Description: 1838 Certificate for The Territory of Florida $1000 Bond. Issue #2082. The certificate remains in crisp, Excellent Uncancelled Condition. Paper is very thin as is usual for documents from this time frame. Carries the Florida Territorial seal imprint but it has faded somewhat. It is signed by Union Bank president John Gamble and Florida Territorial Governor Richard Keith Call. Don't know much about this piece except to know that is is Very Rare and Very Cool. There is one of these certificates in the Museum of Florida History (this one is nicer!) Great opportunity to own a piece of Colonial Florida History that is 186 years old!!! Florida became the twenty-seventh state in the United States on March 3, 1845. Only a limited number of these certificates were printed. Would look FANTASTIC framed!
