It is from Gilbert's Modern Atlas of the Earth, published in London by Grattan & Gilbert, 1838, a copy of the title page is also included for authenticity. The map is not mounted, matted nor framed being sold as a single sheet as seen in the first pics. A rare map that is not offered very often. Size: The map image measures approximately 9 by 11 inches (23x28cm) on a 10 1/2 by 12 3/4" page (26x32cm) with a margin all around as seen in the pic. Condition: It is in Good to Very Good condition for its age, basically as seen in the pics, blank on the reverse, with original hand coloring as issued, printed on a heavy paper. There is a softe bend on the bottom right corner and a few minor light smudges in the margin, otherwise it has an antique appearance with nice strong color that would frame up well, see the pics for more on condition.
