ARTIST/CARTOGRAPHER/ENGRAVER: Engraved by Samuel Fisher (fl.1830-1855) from a study by Henry Gastineau. Henry Gastineau (1791–1876) was an English engraver and prolific painter in water-colours. He was born in London to a family of Huguenot descent.PROVENANCE: Produced for the part-work series “Wales Illustrated” (London : 1830-1831). The plates were later re-used in Woodward's 'History of Wales' in 1853.TYPE: Antique steel plate engraving printed on paper. VERSO: There is nothing printed on the reverse side which is blank.
