Description: This Historical Reenacting item is from a smoke-free home and smoke-free environment. Very well taken care of and from a personal collection of historical re-enacting uniforms and costumes. Ready to wear to defend the Alamo! This is an absolutely outstanding reproduction of an early to middle 19th century (1830s - 1840s era) Civilian Man's Double-Breasted, higher lapel Waistcoat VEST with two working exterior lower pockets - also with matching, small same fabric-covered Buttons down the front (see photos) and correctly patterned true tall, fall collar (more accurate reproduction than most you will find). This is tailored nicely for the middle 19th century. Back is made by brown polished cotton and interior is lined in black polished cotton - much like originals. Includes back adjustment cloth double belts. Images of the Vest being worn with a coat are for illustrative purposes only, so you can see what it would look like being worn with a coat. Vest is long in the body and is designed to sit below the bottom of the coat here. This exact same Vest can be found from highly reputable 19th Century Sutlers for more than $125, trying to offer a good deal here. Can't be beat for the price. Never worn and new. SIZE is tagged as a 38" chest and it fits well with a little bit of room as a 40" chest, more or less true to size. Made of a beautiful wool in a rich Medium Gray Wool.
