Description: Up for sale is a first edition copy of "Carleton's Compendium of Practical Arithmetic Applied to the Federal and other Currencies" by Osgood Carleton and designed for the use of schools in the United States. There is heavy wear to the boards and spine as shown in the photos. An previous owner's personal library sticker is on the front pastedown alongwith pencil writing near the top of that page. The rear pastedown has another previous owner's written inscription with a date of 1814 while the page opposite it has an arithmetic problem written in pencil. There is minor foxing throughout.
