Description: This antique French mineral water torpedo bottle is a stunning addition to any collection. The bottle features a beautiful sea green color. Made in France, this bottle is a true piece of history and is perfect for any collector of antique bottles. The bottle type is a mineral water and is pre-1900, adding to its uniqueness and value. I was told that this bottle was found with a lot of similar bottles near the shore off the coast of an uninhabited island in Africa. All from around 1880’s or 90’s. They were buried in soft sand making their condition very good. This makes me think that they might have been from a shipwreck. This bottle is embossed on both sides, one saying, “Rachemaure with a five point star)” and the other, “Faith a Aleauminerall”. Measures 10.5 inches tall and 4 inches wide on a semi round bottom and an applied lip. Please note that I have chosen not to clean the interior to preserve its authenticity and thus, leaving that choice to the discerning collector.
