Description: This is an original mezzotint engraving titled “The Fruits of Early Industry & Oeconomy”, after a painting by George Moreland, that’s in The Philadelphia Museum of Art. It was engraved by William Ward 1762-1826, published by T. Simpson, St. Paul’s Church Yard, Nov. 1st.1789. The colored portion of the mezzotint measures 23”x 18” with the full sheet measuring28 1/4”x 20”. The mezzotint is attached to a heavy paper board and has some glue residue on the edges, but is in remarkably good condition. I’ve taken a photo of the glass the engraving was found in, to show how well it would frame, but won’t be sending the glass. It will be sent flat and well packaged.
