Description: Collection of 173 miniature lead infantry and cavalry (modeled after Russian/Austrian foot soldiers and cavalry of Napoleonic Wars) with 56 cavalry (one cavalry = soldier plus horse) and 117 foot soldiers. Soldiers measure ~25mm on horseback and are exquisitely hand-painted and affixed to thin cardboard in groups of one, two, and three soldiers. The multicolored cavalry-people have been secured to horseback while the white painted cavalry soldiers are not attached: 23 Austrian three-soldier infantry groups (multicolored; designated "Austria IR")18 Austrian two-soldier cavalry groups (multicolored; designated "Vincent Chevauleger" and "Klenau Chevauleger")10 Austrian two-soldier cavalry groups (white paint w/ detachable riders)8 Russian three-soldier infantry groups (multicolored; designated "Pavloski Grenadiers")12 Russian two-soldier infantry groups (multicolored) The foot soldiers and cavalry-people appear to be in good condition with no obvious damage (Note: one multicolored Austrian cavalry is missing a flag; loose in box). The individual soldier designations (if any) are based on writing found on the bottom of the individual stands and/or the cigar boxes where these soldiers were stored (in this case, "Napoleonic Russia/Austria", "Austria IR#", "Pavloski Grenadiers", etc.) These items are from an estate and I have not confirmed the historical accuracy of these designations, so please examine the photographs carefully.
