1/600 HMS Victory Historic Ship Airfix #00267 Skill Level 1 Factory Sealed MISB

Description: I have to clear some space on my shelves, so I need to part with some of my collection. The HMS Victory is the most iconic and recognizable “Man-of-War” in the world. After making history in service to the Royal Navy (most memorably at Trafalgar), she became a museum ship to be preserved for all time. She is still the oldest commissioned ship on earth, but her days at sea ended about 100 years ago. I found about a dozen of listings on eBay (most were the newer Starter Set) but as a Top Rated Plus US Seller, I can reliably ship this vintage kit to you very quickly. Here is what I have found online about this rare kit: The Airfix site has a page for the current version of this kit (AIR #A55104), which is available as a Starter Set with glue and paint. They show that the kit contains 19 parts and they have a few photos of a wonderfully finished model. Scalemates.com has a listing that shows the dramatic box art and tells us it is a 1999 release based on the veteran 1956 tooling that has been used for at least ten releases. There are some links to reference books, but nothing about the kit itself. John Parker did a comprehensive 30-minute In Box Review video on YouTube for the entire series of HMS Victory kits back to the original 1956 kit. He goes through an extensive history of the releases before showing the contents, starting with instructions. We get to see the hull halves, deck and sails, along with the other parts on the sprue. He parts haven’t changed over the years, but the packaging certainly has. Model Minutes did a short 4-minute Quick Build video on YouTube which is done with a time-lapse to shorten the 3 hours of work. The construction was quicker than the painting. He narrates as he goes and gives you some helpful tips, so you have an even better experience than he did. The kit is in a small, but dramatically illustrated box about 6.5” x 4.5” x 1”. As you can see from the pictures, the kit is in excellent condition and is still sealed with two tape disks, so it is factory sealed and absolutely gift-ready. This item contains nearly 20 off-white plastic parts with decals to create your very own tiny (about 3”) HMS Victory Man-of-War with a labeled stand.
