This is Herberts # 93-Darlow and Moule # 66 Printed by John Day. The Leaf has the Title to Isaiah, nice Engraved 1st Letter (T), with some sort of Eyes and the Isaiah Text from 1:1 through 2. Over the Title is the ending of the Song of Solomon. The Isaiah Text includes the passage that was enshrined at the United Nations-"They will beat their swords into plowshares..." Leaf is numbered # 46. A very special Rare Bible Leaf -Printed in 1551!-This leaf is from an edition of the Taverner-Tyndale Bible!!!! -This Bible was published so early that the verses are still not numbered. Folio in 2 Column Black Letter Font-Leaves measure 10 5/8" by 7 1/2" Condition-Light browning to leaf-some spots-edge a little rough. Rare Bible Leaf-472 years old.
