It is a Large Folio Great Bible Leaf-Printed in 1540!!! This Leaf contains the 8 small 1st Letter Engravings at Start of each Psalm. Bible Text from Psalm 9:1b through Psalm 17:15. Many wonderful Verses, but especially:Psalm 11:3 If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do? This is the actual Section 3 numbered Folio # 3- Great Bible Leaf from the Magnificent Great Bible-November, 1540-Richard Grafton-London. Darlow and Moule # 34. There are 65 Lines to the inch, as called for. The 8 nice small engravings of the enlarged first letter to each of the 8 Psalms. This beautiful Leaf is from the fourth Impression of the Great Bible- The General Title date is 1541 but recorded as published in November, 1540. Only 1 year after the 1st Edition Great Bible was printed!!!! Large Folio-15 1/4" by 10 3/8"- 2 Column Black Letter. Many Years before First Printing of KJV-During the Reign of King Henry 8. This is a tremendous opportunity to own an early Psalms Title of a Great Bible. The Leaf leaf with 8 full Psalms. Condition: some light browning-couple of dark spots . Some writing on edges can be seen.- edges very good-great leaf. I see a small burnhole at the edge of the Text. Please view the photos-They give a good idea of condition. 484 years old!!
