Description: This is a 45 foot (15 yards) bolt of Documented Waverly fabric in the Gunston Hall pattern. It is a vintage heirloom documented fabric based on a fabric found in Gunston Hall, the 18th century Georgian mansion of George Mason which is located near the Potomac River in Fairfax County, Virginia. The mansion, designed by William Buckland, was built between the years 1755 - 1759. George Mason was known for composing the Virginia Declaration of Rights which was the model for the United States Bill of Rights. The 55" wide fabric is a heavy weight linen with a somewhat coarse weave. This particular colorway which is called indigo has a tan or natural linen ground printed in shades of blue, green and gold. This antique style fabric is absolutely gorgeous! At approximately 15 yards, there is lots of it, enough for drapery, upholstering, or whatever you may have planned. This is a perfect fabric for decorating an 18th century home or upholstering 18th century furniture!
