Description: For sale is this beautiful vintage 14K Gold Ankh Ring. Style is ancient egyptian revival. Size 7.5 - 8 (current shape of ring is oval, measuring device varied from 7.5-8. (fits on both my ring finger and middle finger (size 7.5-8). Nice shiny gold. It is very delicate looking with a 1 mm width band. Weight 2 grams. Ankh is about 1/2 inch tall. It is vintage and has been in my family for years. I can't give exact age of ring, however I believe it to be at least 30 (if not close to 40 years old). There are markings on the inside of the ring, which I was not able to identify. I brought it to my local jeweler who verified the ring is 14KT gold. He was able to pick up some of the marking with his jeweler magnifying glass. There are some light surface scratches, it you look under magnifying glass. The Ankh, a cross crowned by an oval, refers to the reconciliation of the opposites - (feminine and masculine) and also to the symbol used to designate the planet Venus, a reason that makes it an element of numerous feminine cults.
