Most late model PCM/ECM's have to be initialized and/or programmed in your vehicle by a certified mechanic, dealership, or locksmith to function. If not programmed after installation, it is likely your car will not start. Some locksmiths are able to reprogram these units, and are often much cheaper than the dealership.
