Presenting 12 Pratesi Sandy Breeze Cavalieri Jacquard Placemat and Napkin sets. There are 12 placemats and 12 napkins. The color is very neutral with maybe a hint of soft gold thus “Sandy Breeze”. The placemats measure approx 20” x 17”. The napkins 22”x22”. All 24 pieces with original sewn Pratesi Made in Italy tags. The placemats all have the original paper tags attached. In researching the linens the original suggested retail price $3600.00. The linens were a gift to Richard and Marguerite Giordano. Purchased at the Pratesi store at Madison Avenue and 69th Street, NYC. There is a hand written note on Pratesi stationary addressed to Sir Richard & Lady Giradano. Richard was knighted by Margaret Thatcher in 1989 with the title Knight Commander of the British Empire. Richard was a highly successful American business leader with dual citizenship. Born in the Bronx in 1934 he graduated Stuyvesant High School and then Harvard. Among the many prestigious jobs held he was the chairman of British Oil. He was an avid sailor and sportsman.
