Description: You will receive 12+ live bladders snails about 0.5" in size (may be off by a millimeter or so). A few extra will be included to cover any DOAs. They are pond-raised. They will be shipped in a wet paper towel in a small deli cup to protect them from damage during shipping. Orders are shipped in USPS Priority boxes from Monday thru Wednesday (excluding holidays) to prevent delays during the weekend. These snails are very, very easy to spawn. Just add them to your pond or tank. No feeding is required if there are already fish. Add calcium supplement like Wonder Shell to encourage strong shell growth. They are very good for breaking down detritus. Snails will eat almost anything, including dead plants, dead fish, fish poop, mulm, leftover fish food, and blanched leafy vegetables. Please do not add the snails to your aquarium if you are not comfortable with them taking over your tank because they WILL! I personally recommend a tank dedicated to just snails, especially if you are growing them to feed them to your pufferfish. A small piece of hornwort will be included with your snails.
