1/16 Obersturmbannfuhrer Joachim Peiper Figure Dragon #1620 Shrink Wrapped MISB

Description: I need to clear some space on my shelves, so I must part with some of my collection. This is the part of Dragon’s 1/16 Warrior Series figures. Obersturmbannführer (Senior Assault-unit Leader) Joachim Peiper is well-known as the leader of Kampfgruppe Peiper during the Ardennes Campaign and Battle of the Bulge. He could be displayed on his own with the base provided or next to a 1/16 Tiger II from the 501st Heavy Panzer Battalion. To be clear, this was not a nice guy. He was an unrepentant Nazi in the Waffen SS with a rank equivalent to Lieutenant Colonel. He survived the war and even a death sentence for his war crimes but was eventually murdered in France by anti-Nazis in 1976. I found a handful of listings for this kit on eBay (from a variety of sellers), but as a Top Rated Plus US Seller, I have this in stock and can reliably ship this to you quickly. Here are some of the details about this historical figure that I found from around the web: The Dragon Models site (dragon-models.com) still has a page showing the figure and interestingly only shows it as Obersturmbannführer (Ardennes 1944) without mentioning Peiper’s name. Scalemates.com has a listing that shows that this is a brand-new tooling from 1998. It presents the box art but has almost no useful information about the kit. aur0ra145 posted a Build Review to the intscalemodeller.com forum pages with five large photos of his completed figure. I am not sure what his experience level is, but the guy turned out really well! He starts his review with: “First figure I've ever done. Basically did it in a day. I'll definitely try more in the future.” This figure kit comes in a sturdy 11.5” x 7.5” x 2” box. As you can see from the pictures, the package is pristine and still sealed with shrink wrap (and tape disks), so it is factory sealed and absolutely gift-ready. This item contains one complete injection molded plastic model kit of Obersturmbannführer Joachim Peiper (the notorious commander of Kampfgruppe Peiper and infamous war criminal) along with a stand for him to pose on.
