100% Cellulose Acetate Tortoise Guitar Pickguard Sheets Material Blanks

Description: Up for sale is a 100% Cellulose Acetate Tortoise Pickguard Sheet, an orange-ish, honey-amber with black spots. The sheet is approximately 12” x 10” x 2.5mm thick. Cellulose acetate is very hard to get in sheets of this dimension and thickness, so it has to be custom ordered in bulk like this. Perfect pickguard thickness, same thickness as found on a Strat or Tele. All sheets come with a “mill finish” out of the factory, and will obviously need to be buffed to get the “polished” finish. PICTURES #3, 4, AND 5 SHOW WHAT THIS MATERIAL (AND ITS YELLOW VARIATION I OFTEN STOCK) LOOK LIKE ONCE IT'S BUFFED AND POLISHED. The beauty of cellulose acetate is the pattern is throughout the material, not just on top. So it has a 3 dimensional quality you won’t find in lesser material, such as PVC. We use this for custom guitars, but it is also perfect for jewelry, pens, DIY projects, etc. Any warping over time, from change in atmospheric conditions, can be corrected with GENTLE heat (heat gun or hair dryer).
