Description: Offered here is a Bellhop or Porter, made entirely of felt with wire armature so that he is posable. He is 10-1/2” tall and was made by Klumpe in Barcelona, Spain, circa 1950's. The Klumpe dolls were caricatures of hobbyists, professionals, Spanish dancers, historical characters and contemporary males and females performing a variety of tasks. This man is carrying a huge suitcase, a carpet bag, a large umbrella and a bag of golf clubs. His face is beautifully painted, he has fleecy hair and attached ears and his uniform is gray and white stripe shirt, burgundy trousers, brown shoes, red front & blue back vest with matching visor hat. His tags are missing but the look of Klumpe is undeniable and they are getting harder to find these days. He is in very good condition.
