Description: Here is a really cool 14 karat white solid gold gents ring featuring a round brilliant shape natural diamond set in a square top plate. The diamond measures approximately 5.3 mm in diameter and 2.9 mm in depth with an actual weight of 0.51 carat. This diamond is 100% natural, untreated, and unenhanced. Natural, earth mined diamonds have a many centuries long history of appreciating in value, whereas lab grown diamonds have an undeniable history of being available for less and less money every year! Don't settle for a mass-produced lab grown diamond that lacks the rarity of the diamonds your parents and grandparents had! The diamond is a great "man's ring" diamond. It is decent size at over a half carat. It is nearly colorless and faces up white with an actual color graded at H/I. And although the diamond is solidly in the Imperfect clarity category with a technical grade of a low I-1 or high I-2, the diamond is actually nearly eye clean...I'd call it "eye-cleanish". The grade-making flaw kind of looks like a shadow in the facet reflection pattern and isn't all that noticeable unless you study the diamond closely. The diamond is well cut and is just a nice, bright stone. This ring was manufactured by a great family-owned company based in Toledo, Ohio called Russ Jensen & Sons. The company is still in business today but has morphed into more of a retail operation and is now called Jensen Jewelers. The design is an awesome, retro-modern, bypass look with both high polished and hand-Florentined sections. This ring weighs a very substantial 8.3 grams (over $415 just in scrap gold melt value as we write this!) and is approximately 15 mm wide at the top. It is currently finger size 9.25 but is easily sizable by a competent jeweler. The ring was priced at $2,495 in our brick and mortar fine jewelry store that closed in 2020.
